The Department of Communications and Language Arts unveiled its new signboard on Monday, 6th of March.
The simple event was graced by the Head of Department, Prof Ayobami Ojebode and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof Ekanola. The Dean, in his address appreciated everyone that contributed to the project.
“This is highly commendable. I was glad when I was told that it was students that embarked on this project. Most students do not consider what they can give back to the system. Through this, you have shown that you are appreciative to the department that has made impact in your life”, he said.
The signboard which also serves as a lightbox was a project embarked on by the current 400level students of the department.
In an interview with our correspondent, the spokesperson of the Excellers’ Procurement Committee, Austine Elegbede said, “It is a welcome development. The lecturers and HOD were happy especially when they discovered that it was a level project. We will like to thank everyone who contributed to making the project a reality. We have set the pace for others to follow; not only at the departmental level but also at the faculty level. We also appreciate the Dean for coming to unveil the project.”
